The Project
The goal of this project was to research three assigned poets and represent their work in the form of three harmonizing posters. My assigned poets all share a unique perspective on poetry. They see through the eyes of racial inequality. They are all doing everything they can to fight for true equality by letting their poetic work represent their personal and united struggles. From that, I derived the concept “In the eyes of the poet” and used it as a general theme across all three posters. The poster colors are taken from published covers of books from each three authors, and the silhouettes are the authors themselves. In completing this project, I learned how to do proper research and aligning posters to a central theme. I also picked up some hand-made typography skills as well.
